I’m posting a few more new drills I recently worked in class. You can see them in action here http://www.vimeo.com/26160455

This one isn’t “new” but we added in sparring, giving it an interesting twist.

Participants: Minimum 3

Equipment: Pads or Sparring Gear (see variation below), “Exit Indicator”

Setup:
-One participant is the defender and begins against the wall/in a corner.
-Other participants are attackers and group in front of the defender.

Execution:
-On the instructors cue, the attackers swarm the defender attempting to stay against the wall (pushing, grabbing, striking, etc.)
-Defender must fight out and get to “exit indicator”. This may be a real exit or an object. Upon reaching, time is called.

Variations:
-Add a session of constant attack/self-defense after reaching the exit.
-Sparring Gear: Allow defender/attackers to send strikes while against the wall.
-Sparring Gear: Add on mini-sparring sessions (say 10 seconds) for the defender against each attacker.
